Correspondence detailing the engagement between the ENDYMION and the US frigate PRESIDENT, includes Sir Edward Thomas Troubridge's official news of the engagements and the Anglo-American War, 5 January 1815 to 26 January 1815. Also includes two watercolours annotated by Sir Edward Thomas Troubridge, and presumably painted by him, the first depicting the night engagement between the ENDYMION and the US frigate PRESIDENT, 1814. The second depicts the ENDYMION's boats attacking, again at night, the US vessel PRINCE OF NEUFCHATEL, 10 October (1814). (6 items).
