Admiralty Compass Observatory, 1842-1971
Admiralty Magnetic Compass Museum catalogue and notes compiled by H. G. H. Alexander, MBE, RN. Alexander was Chief Compass Examiner in the Compass Department from 1907 to 1930. Additions to the catalogue were made by Commander W E May as Naval Assistant from 1928 to 1951. .
