Extracts from Sir George Rooke's journal 1692-1704. The entries are not in chronological order 1702, 1692, 1702, 1704. The first quire begins with part of a letter or order dated 17 Dec 1745 signed by C Barnett. HMS DEPTFORD in Madras Roard, addressed to Captain Carteret of HMS HARWICH by command of the Commandere R Rosewill. 2nd quire is marked in ink 'Attack on Vigo' by Admiral Sir George Rooke (No. 19. These were left by the Hon Sir Geo Grey Bt Commissioner of Portsmouth Dockyard) (The entries for 1702 are to be found inter alia in Journal of Sir George Rooke published by Navy Record Society edited O Browning 1897).
