Miscellaneous papers including some private letters and some printed material from the period 1913-1938. Including letters from the Admiralty regarding Thursfield's appointments as Assistant Director of the Royal Naval Staff College, Greenwich, and to command the light cruiser HMS CONCORD (1916) on the Mediterranean station. Also correspondence with Vice-Admiral Kenneth G.B. Dewar regarding the career of Admiral Sir William W. Fisher. The printed material includes a Turkish phrase book and an account of the Athenaeum Club by Henry R. Tedder, published for the centenary in 1924.
