Legal papers, copy minutes and correspondence reliating to the "Hicks Trust", i.e. the administration of a chariltable legacy of £20.000/-/- and upwards left to the society by the will of Williams Hicks, formerley a member of the Company of (English) Merchant Adventurers in Hamburg, made 24 September 1752, for the training and equipment of strong and healthy poor boys to serve as seamen in the navy and for other purposes, 1762 - 1925.
