Documents relating to William Humphry Nigel Yonge, 1915-1919.

Documents include: a sketch of V and W beaches at Cape Helles during the Gallipoli landings in 1915, and embarkation orders and a list of naval embarkation staff for the evacuation of the 8th Army Corps from the Dardanelles in January 1916. The sketch shows the position of the HMS RIVER CLYDE, which was beached to land troops, and the French ships MASSENA and SAGHALIEN, used as a breakwater.
A statistical report on minesweeping off the Norwegian coast, 1919.
A letter to the Daily Telegraph regarding Commander Loftus William Jones, who was awarded a Victoria Cross for his conduct at the Battle of Jutland, 1916. (W. Yonge was on the HMS ZEALANDIA, which did not participate in the battle, at the time so his account must be second hand.)
