In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The Navy Board has opined that the DRAGON sloop recently taken by the JAMES galley and now at Deptford is suitable for serving as a cruiser between Scotland and Ireland and that in order so to serve should be fitted with eight guns; two padereroes and forty men. Orders are given for her to be established as a cruiser for that role and supplied with stores and provision accordingly.
