In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Enclosure: Extract of a letter from Captain Hales of the VIRGIN Prize who informs that he is in want of stores, particularly cables and sails. He has instructed his officers not to request anything not absolutely essential; but with winter approaching he must be resupplied. He has written to the Navy Board asking for hops to be sent out and continues by stating that his men are very much in want of clothing.
