In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
In your letter to this Board of the 11th inst; you sent us a List which you have received from the Portsmouth Commissioners of the names of several Workmen who absconded without leave from that Yard.
We direct you to inform yourselves which of the said Workmen who are not sick have not yet returned to Work there, and their habitations, and send their names to us as soon as may be, and also the names and habitations of any other Workmen who have deserted from there or any other Yards, in order to our issuing Warrants for apprehending them.
