In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Her Majesty has signified to this Board by Sir John Trenchard, Principal Secretary of State, that all dispatch be made in getting ready the several Ships and vessels mentioned in the List overleaf (which are ordered to be fitted for Service this Winter) so they may be ready if possible by the first day of next month. Direct you to cause all possible endeavour to be used for having the Ships and vessels fitted and victualled so that they be able to sail by the aforesaid time.
List of Ships ordered for Winter service:
Twenty six 2nd, 3rd and 4th and 6th rates, commencing with the ST. MICHAEL.
Six Fireships commencing with the ROEBUCK.
CONCORD Hospital Ship.
MOSCOVIA MARCH Storeship.
Tenders; Four Ketches and one Smack (such as are appointed by Sir George Rooke).
