Document signed by James Southerne, Secretary to the Admiralty, fl. 1690-1694
As soon as I had the name of the GREENFISH Master Orders were sent to the Ordnance to furnish her with the Arms and Ammunition proposed for her, so order him to attend the Ordnance Officers for hastening the same on board.
Orders will go this Post to the DARTMOUTH at the Nore, which is directed to convoy Mr RIGG's Ship laden with Planks and Deals for Portsmouth, to Convoy the GREENFISH if she gets there before that Ship sails, otherwise if her Master applies to the Captains of the NORWICH or SMIRNA MERCHANT which are likewise going to Spithead, they will take care of her.
