Are sending a Copy of a letter received from Mr Nicholas Manooch, Deputy Mayor of Rye, and direct you to cause him to be reimbursed what he says therein he has laid out for saving a Cable which was left by the FALMOUTH in Rye Bay, and that you cause the same to be received from him and lodged in their Majesties' Stores.
You are also to report to us your opinion what is fitting to be allowed for the two Shallops that were employed in saving the said Cable, and the ten Men mentioned in the letter who went out in the Smack lately lost off Rye in attempting to assist the FALMOUTH, as also to Mr Manooch for his own care and pains.
