Mr Thompson, Member for Parliament, has written on behalf of Mr James Bayliffe of Scarborough, about the payment of the enclosed bill for £9.12.0 for listing and keeping 32 volunteers for 10 days, the said men each having a ticket from Mr Cockerill, which Mr Belwood is said to have taken and torn. You are directed to look into the matter and pay Mr Thompson the sum if you find this reasonable. Any part of which is chargeable to Mr Belwood shall be defaulted on what is paid to him.
