In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

You have informed us by your letter of the 12th inst; that you have hired the BASING GALLEY at Southampton to serve as a Man of War of the 6th Rate, and you opine that she may carry seventy Men and eighteen Guns Saker.
We direct you to establish her accordingly, and to fit her out to Sea by her Owners for Service in the Channel with all possible dispatch, ordering her to be victualled for three months, or as much as she can conveniently stow.
