In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

An Order in Council dated 29th March last directed that a provision of Sea victuals be made for five thousand Men, to serve in their Majesties' Ships this year, over and above the victuals already ordered for thirty thousand men .
We direct you therefore to to give Orders to the Victualling Commissioners to cause good and wholesome Sea victuals for five thousand Men for thirteen Lunar months to be provided and had in readiness at the several Ports following, over and above the victuals for thirty thousand Men formerly directed, in the proportions at each Port mentioned viz;-
London for two thousand Men
Portsmouth for sixteen hundred Men
Plymouth for twelve hundred Men
Kinsale for two hundred Men.
