In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We are sending a copy of His Majesty's Order in Council dated 22nd March, and also a Petition annexed, of George Everett, setting out a method for more speedy and effectual building and repairing Royal Navy vessels, saving one hundred thousand pounds per annum or more, together with some proposals relating thereto which he has lately presented to this Board.
We direct you to examine these or any other propositions which Mr Everett may offer to you, concerning this affair, and report to this Board what you think fitting to be done for the benefit of the Service.
