In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
A shake-up is required affecting ships being refitted in the Thames. Directions are given for a Navy Board Commissioner to travel the river as far as Longreach and to report on a weekly basis the state of readiness of the ships, their manning and supplying with stores and provisions. Ships Officers are to make every effort to bring forward the work.
