In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
A crew member, Chamberlaine, of the DREADNOUGHT, has been recorded as having deserted; but Captain Coal of that ship has informed the Admiralty that he gave the man permission to go ashore but, due to ill health, he has been unable to return. The record of his desertion is to be expunged.
