In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Daniel Burgess, Thomas Broad and Andrew Hughes have informed the Admiralty that wages due to them have been pocketed by Captain Gillam of the St.ALBANS. They relate that they were put aboard the PALM TREE by Captain Gillam and then transferred to the PEARL and that when the St.ALBANS paid off they received no money. Instructions are given for the money due to them to be docked from Captain Gillam's pay when that is due; but there is no mention in the letter of the petitioners receiving any money.
