In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Our Order of March 26th last directed that six months dry Provisions of Victuals for 500 Men should be sent to each of the Islands Jersey and Guernsey.
Now an Order of the Privy Council of April 26th directs that Victualling Commissioners should provide only three months dry Provisions for 500 Men in these Islands.
These should provide five hundred bushells of salt to each place, one pound of biscuits a day for each man, and half a pound of Cheshire cheese for each man.
