In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The DOVER has brought a French ship, the BEAULIEU, into Kinsale where it was thought she would become a Man-of-War; but the Admiralty has been informed that she has been sold to a private person who is now offering to sell her back to the Navy. Instructions are given for her to be surveyed and a report is required on the size of her crew and nature of her armaments if she is to serve in the Navy.
