In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Notwithstanding any former Orders to the contrary, we direct you to cause all Commissioned and Warrant Officers in their Majesties' Fleet that received their Commissions and Warrants at Sea from the Admiral or others, and have not been confirmed by this Board, to be paid their Wages for the time they have served, in case there be no other objections other than not being confirmed.
You are to direct Members of your Board who attend the Pay of the Fleet to send us the names of the Officers to be paid, and an account of the date of their respective Commissions and Warrants, and by whom they were granted.
Public notice is to be given to the Fleet Officers that for the future when any Commissions or Warrants shall be granted to any Officers at sea, that these Officers, with the first opportunity after coming into Port, send the same to this Board for confirmation.
