In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
By an Order in Council twelve ships in the Thames are to be selected by Colonel Richards for use as Bomb vessels next Summer. The Navy Board is to negotiate either the hire of the vessels or their purchase and to see that they are fitted out in naval or private yards as appropriate. Regular estimates of cost are to be submitted.
