In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Having ordered the EXPERIMENT to Sheerness, we direct you upon her arrival there to cause her to be laid in such a place you judge most proper till she is cleaned from any infection she may have brought from the West Indies. You are to direct the Bulkheads and Cabins being taken down, and the ship Tarred within and without, and washed with Vinegar in the same manner as the other Men of War from those parts.
