In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The LOYALTY and the FRIENDLY SOCIETY have been hired as Fifth Rates. The LOYALTY is to be crewed by one hundred and twenty men and equipped with thirty four guns and a number of demi culverins, sakers and minions. The FRIENDLY SOCIETY is to receive one hundred and twenty five men, thirty six guns and a number of demi culverins, sakers and minions. They are to be established, fitted out for service in the Channel by their owners and victualled for three months.
