In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Joseph Townes, Storekeeper at Harwich, has petitioned for an allowance for mustering ships at that port, and your report of 20 April gave your opinion that his present yearly salary of £25 should be increased to £60 for employment as both Storekeeper and Muster Master. You are directed to increase his salary accordingly to commence from midsummer last.
