In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You are directed to have the GREYHOUND cleaned and refitted at Plymouth and supplied with 3 months victuals for service in the Channel. Also, the victuals on board the NONSUCH and PEMBROKE, upon their arrival at Plymouth, are to be completed to 4 months, they being appointed to convoys to Newfoundland. You are directed to have men belonging to the CROWN (more than 180), now at Portsmouth, to be turned over to the CAMBRIDGE and that a sufficient number of Able Seamen be left on board the CROWN to enable her to proceed to sea.
