In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You are directed to have the EXETER, now at Portsmouth, to be fitted out for service in the Channel and manned to her highest complement and victualled for 4 months. You are also to have the BERWICK and SUFFOLK in the Downes, and the EXPEDITION at Portsmouth, completed to 4 months or as much as they can conveniently stow for summer service in the Channel.
