In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Admiral Russell has advised us that he has ordered the DEPTFORD into Plymouth to be cleaned and he intends to send the RUPERT to Portsmouth for this purpose. You are directed to have the ships cleaned and refitted for service in the Channel with all possible dispatch and the DEPTFORD victualled for 3 months and the RUPERT 4 months.
