In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You are directed to provide Captain Akerman at Carrick Fergus with a Deal yawl with 6 oars, completely fitted with sails and other necessary furniture. The LARK and FANFARE are ordered to cruise in the narrows between Scotland and Ireland and to follow Major General Mackay's orders. We understand that these ships have not above 6 weeks victuals and are to be supplied at Greenock from time to time, during their continuance on this station, either by credit or otherwise.
