In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Your letter of 23 April advised us that at your meeting with the Lords of the Treasury, their Lordships desired that the Commissioners of the Victualling be given £10,000 out of the £400,000 appropriated for the service of the Navy. We think it fit to advise you that before any order for impresting money for victualling, we expect it to be certified that it is in the hands of the Treasurer of the Navy and appointed for that use.
