In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
No date recorded. Enclosure: Copy of a letter from Gabriel Bernon, merchant of Boston, New England, in which he states that having become aware of government proposals to expand the production of naval stores in the colonies he proposes to travell to London. There follows a passage in which he refers to dealings with others in New England and draws attention to various shipments of resin and masts with which he has been involved. He concludes by saying that if confirmation of these deliveries can be found, he would be happy to supply more. On the reverse he lists the types of stores he can supply from a port on the Pottomac river in Maryland.
