Document signed by James Southerne, Secretary to the Admiralty, fl. 1690-1694.

I am commanded to send you the enclosed extract of a letter from the Captain of the JERSEY, complaining of the want of victuals and direct that you take care that what victuals are behind may be supplied to that ship which is ordered upon a service with all possible dispatch. I also ask you to have in readiness at Portsmouth provisions for victualling the CAMBRIDGE, EXETER, WARSPITE, CROWN and BONADVENTURE, now fitting there so that they are not delayed and ready to join Lord Torrington's fleet.
