In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We have considered your report on the petition of Captain Roger Belwood, Commander of the MEDWAY, praying his disbursement of near £400 for victualling 434 men impressed by him in a ketch for the service of the BRITANNIA, when he was lieutenant of that ship. Captain Belwood did not make application for provisions and cannot produce regular vouchers for victualling the men, but for as much as many seamen were impressed by him we do direct you to allow him half of the account presented to your Board
