In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

We have considered the copy of the letter of the Commissioners of the Victualling, which we received in your letter yesterday, where they desire further directions concerning our orders for sending victuals and credits to the fleet in the Mediterranean as to the manner of hiring ships to carry these victuals. You are directed to order the Commissioners to hire ships to deliver victuals to Cadiz Bay and to attend the fleet as Admiral Russell shall direct. Also, the credits to be sent to Cadiz, Alicante and Genoa, be proportioned in equal parts for each. If the whole proportion of flesh for the 2 months victuals ordered to be sent cannot be provided timely, then they are to send such part of it by FLOWER and SERPENT as is now required. For their further infiormation we send you enclosed a copy of an account we have received from Rear Admiral Nevell in his letter of 20 May 1694 of what victuals are now with him.
