Document signed by Henry Guy, Secretary to the Treasury, 1631-1711.
I have laid before the Lords of the Treasury your letter of today, wherin you desire to be informed of the business you are to attend to on Friday next, and to know whether by he Establishment of the Ordinary of the Navy their Lords mean the Ordinary Estimate. Before I received yiour letter I had written to let you know the business concerns the difference in accounting between Admiral Russell and the Victuallers of the Navy. As to the Ordinary Estimate, my Lords do not know what you understand by that, but what they would have is the total establishment of the Ordinary with all persons and salaries that are paid out of it.
