In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

You are directed to make enquiry as to which vessels are at Dover, Deal or thereabouts, fitting to serve their Majesties as advice boats and to buy two of the best sailers and have them fitted for sea. You are to report what number of men and guns will be proper for them and to send estimates of the charge to this Board and to solicit the Lords of the Treasury for money to buy them.
