In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Lord Cornwallis owns a vessel at Rotherhithe which he is willing to sell complete with rigging, fitments, sails and guns. Instructions are given for her to be surveyed and if found suitable she is to be purchased to serve as an Advice Vessel. The Navy Board is to apply to the Treasury for the funds with which to buy her.
