In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The SAMUEL and HENRY Hired ship has been ordered to proceed from the Nore to the Downs where she is to convoy some victualling ships and then return to the Downs. She is to be provided with three months victuals at the Nore. Also enclosing a copy of a report from Captain Townsend of the IPSWICH detailing the repairs his ship needs and requiring prompt action.
