In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The Muster Master of their Majesties' Ships at Rye has informed us that the Men he sent off in a Sloop to carry a Packet to Lord Berkeley are demanding payment for that Service.
Also, the Charge of cleaning the BASING GALLY at Rye is not yet satisfied.
We are sending you an extract of his letter enclosed and direct you to make an allowance you think reasonable forthwith to the Men engaged in carrying a Packet to Lord Berkeley.
Likewise you are to reimburse the Charges of cleaning the Basing Gally.
