In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

In pursuance of her Majesty's Order in Council dated 6th inst; we direct you to provide four months Provisions at whole allowance for seventeen hundred Men, and sent with the Forces intended for Jamaica on board such Ships as shall be hired by the Commissioners for Transportation. The Commissioners for Victualling are to send to the Lords of the Committee of Trades and Plantations an account of when they may begin to ship the said Provisions, and in what time shipping will be completed.
You are also to cause ten Men belonging to the two Companies of Foot and Recruits lately ordered to be sent to New York which are to be sent on board the HOPE, Aron Everden Commander, on his arrival at Plymouth, to be victualled in their voyage and during their stay in Port in like manner as the Men already aboard her are ordered to be victualled.
