In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
A Petition has been presented to this Board in the name of Thomas Mason, setting forth that he was a Marine soldier on board the SUFFOLK, in which Ship he lost his left hand, and was wounded in three of the fingers of the right.
For want of the Masters and Surgeons hands to a Certificate (which comes enclosed) he is denied the Pension allowed in such cases.
We direct you to cause the usual Pension to be settled on him for the loss of his hand etc; notwithstanding the Certificate is not signed.
