In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Secretary of State Sir John Trenchard acting on an Order in Council has instructed that the stores to be supplied to Admiral Russell's Fleet are to be produced urgently. This is to be put in hand without delay together with the submission of an estimate of the time to be allowed to complete the rigging and make the fleet ready for sea next Spring.
