In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Captain Hoskins of the ROYAL WILLIAM has informed the Admiralty that Commissioner St. Loe has been aboard her and has completed the paying of her Foremast Men, the Captain's servants and his Officers and has discharged them; but the Commissioner has informed the Captain that only the Warrant Officers will be allowed to enter servants without orders from the Admiralty. Orders are to be sent to Chatham that no more Officers' servants are to be paid and not discharged.
