In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
A survey of the UNITY Hired ship has been received but due to her defects she is to be discharged the service and paid off. The Officers and ship's company, except that the Commissioned and Warrant Officers and their Servants, are to be turned over into the ROMNEY or COLCHESTER whichever is ready first; and that the junior Officers in the UNITY shall be transferred in the same capacity to whatever ship the Men and are sent to; but if there is not room for all of them they are to be put in the other new ship in order to prevent them having to be demoted and sail before the mast.
