In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Lord Berkeley, Colonel of the Second Marine Regiment, having certified that Sergeants Ralph Hardiman, Thomas Harrison, John Banfield and Drummer John Boucher, belonging to Captain William Spragg's Company were, after being discharged from the ESSEX, employed ashore raising recruits, they are to be paid for their time on that duty, notwithstanding that they were prevented from attending musters of that Company.
