In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
By order of the Commissioners of the Victualling, Captain Ayles is being sent to join the fleet in the Straits together with Mr Phineas Bowles, who is to assist him. Mr Bowles is to receive an allowance of £400 a year plus expenses. He is to receive an advance of £200 and is to be sent in the next convoy bound to Cadiz.
