In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The 5th Rate being built by Mr Ellis at Shoreham is reported to be ready to be launched at the end of December. She is to be named the HASTINGS and launched and fitted out as soon as possible for service in the Channel, with her full complement of men and victualled for three months.
