Document signed by William Bridgeman, c.1646-1699, English civil servant and Secretary to the Admiralty between 1694 and 1698.

Captain Wishart, C-in-C of their Majesties' Ships at the Nore, has been ordered to send the ROMNEY to the Gunfleet to weigh the Anchors of the STERLING CASTLE, DREADNOUGHT and other Ships as is desired by your letter to me today.
By command of the Admiralty Commissioners you are to give the necessary Orders for sending the SUPPLY Transport Vessel down to the Nore and from there to the Gunfleet in company with the ROMNEY, to bring away the Anchors after they are weighed.
I am directed to answer the Paragraph in your letter to the Commissioners concerning the paying of Seamen turned over from one Ship to another, that the Men should be paid until the time they are turned over into the Ships which they have been ordered to go to Sea in.
