In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We direct you to enquire and give this Board the best account you can as soon as maybe what number of Marine soldiers have for the past seven months been borne aboard their Majesties' ships employed at home, and particularly what number have been aboard the VANGUARD and other Ships where the Commander in Chief at the Nore constantly resided (the Marine Recruits being sent direct generally to those ships) since the coming of the Great Ships last Summer.
